GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Drive business growth by educating potential clients in the benefits and advantages of all Root Sciences equipment lines, effectively building and managing the sales pipeline and sales staff to achieve sales goals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive sales and establish effective processes within the organization
• Effectively implement and use CRM software to build strong client relationships and servicing and efficiently manage incoming lead development, sales potentials and pipeline forecasting
• Maintain an expert-level understanding of product features, benefits and operation
• Maintain a deep understanding of various market segments and their unique process requirements
• Conduct ongoing market research to monitor trends and identify opportunities for marketing campaigns
• Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to stay informed of competitor products, pricing and marketing campaigns
• Prepare and deliver sales quotes and provide appropriate follow up through closing
• Participate in industry trade shows, exhibits and on-site demonstrations
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in support of pre-sales activities
• Establish sales forecasts and objectives

EDUCATION & TRAINING

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent sales experience in

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• 5-10+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in biochemical or industrial equipment industries preferred
• Expertise with business software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Dynamics (or other CRMs)
• Experience with sales forecasting and pipeline analysis
• Experience creating targeted marketing campaigns
• Experience achieving sales goals, driving aggressive pipeline development and managing sales staff
• Knowledge of processes involved in the extraction and distillation of compounds, particularly cannabinoids, is a plus
• Knowledge of commercial cannabis/hemp industry is a plus
