Position Overview:

We are looking for a Head Grower to manage our large-scale indoor grow operation. Primary responsibilities will be to optimize all the tasks in the grow including cloning, transplanting, feeding plants, topping, flushing, foliar, trimming, packaging, waste disposal, and inventory management.

The company operates under the highest standards of professionalism. Meticulous attention to detail is required. Your goal will be to ensure we satisfy our customers with consistent high-quality, marijuana products.

Duties/Responsiblities:

  • Develop cultivation plans
  • Organize and provide efficiencies of transplanting, cloning, defoliation, and trimming of plants
  • Ensure growth requirements of cannabis plants are consistently met to the highest standard (lighting, soil PH, nutrients, etc.)
  • Apply indoor farming methods that increase our yields
  • Manage marijuana plants and strains according to the current plant health and status of each room / cultivar
  • Manage plant scheduling and organization to precisely project all garden needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to keep garden green and harvest yields up while improving quality of the plant(s) based on THC
  • Cataloging and analyzing each individual strain from clone to flower to harvesting
  • Cloning and manage vegetation with at least a 90% success rate
  • Mastery of soil, coco, rockwool, aeroponic, and other various growing methods, including in-depth knowledge of PH; PPM and EC counts
  • Mastery of Soil growing methods including micronutrients, beneficial bacteria and nutrient implementation
  • Working knowledge of soil and hydro as well as understanding temperature and humidity manipulation
  • Expert knowledge of plant diseases, insects, and fungi, as well as plant treatment options
  • Well researched in new techniques and insight to expand knowledge in nutrient of individual strains, high yield recipes, controlled stress environments to different lighting systems and set ups
  • Facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary
  • Supervise and coach employees who tend to the plants
  • Inspect quality of harvest / yield and overall plant health
  • And other duties as assigned

Essential Job Functions / Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Walk up /down flight of stairs several times a day, every day
  • Ability to wear full PPE (mask, coverall, booties, hair cover

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Minimum 4 years commercial grow experience as a Master/Head Grower
  • Proven experience as grower on a large scale to include management/leadership experience *must be able to provide grow resume, photos, and portfolio at interview
  • Knowledge of the entire cannabis growth cycle and requirements
  • Understanding of pest and disease management techniques
  • Advance knowledge of the cannabis plant and genetics
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve plant health issues like mold, mildew, or other infestations
  • Must have excellent communication, team building, and strong management skills
  • Must be able to pass extensive background check (no felony convictions)

Preferred Experience:

Degree in Botany, Biology, Agriculture, Horticulture, or relevant field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
