Maintenance Technician sought by Zen Asset Management in Lacey

This position works in a cannabis growing and/or processing business. Implements a recurring daily task list for general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, grounds maintenance, stocking supplies, and cleaning. Performs general assistance on special projects as assigned. Works with Facilities and Maintenance Manager and Lead Maintenance Tech to discern the day s tasks.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Demonstrates Zen Asset Management s Core Values and Principles at all times
Complete recurring morning and evening daily task lists
Receive instructions and complete items on the weekly task list or emergency items
Perform daily morning safety walk-through. Resolve and record any safety issues.
Perform daily safety checklist on all heavy equipment prior to operating said equipment
Clean/sanitize areas assigned to Maintenance Department
Works in an efficient/timely manner and strives for continuous improvement
Responds to emergency maintenance requests
Completes assigned tasks and reports to Maintenance Lead upon completion
Delivery of inbound goods to proper destination
Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs as necessary
Implement preventative maintenance measures
Maintain inventory of and repair equipment and supplies
Ensure regular daily tasks are completed to Zen Asset Management standards. Communicate progress of tasks with Facilities & Maintenance management.
Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol
Works in an efficient/timely manner and strive to increase productivity
Responsible for the daily cleanliness of areas assigned to Maintenance Department
Record and upload Maintenance s daily progress
May, as assigned, receive inbound shipments and deliver paperwork to Purchasing. Delivers goods to proper destination.
Familiarity and compliance with sections of WAC Chapter 314-55 applicable to job role
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Education, Experience, and Legal Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of first interview
High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to effectively perform the job

Proven ability to delegate tasks; including training employees as needed
Ability to pick up new concepts easily.
Strong attention to detail, which includes the ability to accurately keep records
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Flexibility in changing roles and requirements during the day
Understands the metric system of measurements
Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and with respect at all times (written and verbal)
Ability to organize work within company parameters

Working conditions

Zen Asset Management facilities are open from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM Monday through Sunday, depending on the facility
The normal work week is 40 hours, your supervisor will explain your positional schedule and what schedule variances might happen in the course of business
Most work is conducted in a warehouse-type environment in which warmer or cooler than normal temperatures may exist, with sometimes humid conditions, depending on the department
Cannabis odor present in varying degrees
