Free Rain Farms seeks Trimmer in Ferndale

Member of a trim crew that harvests, trims, and cures cannabis. Duties include chopping and defoliating fresh plants, hanging fresh plants, shucking buds from dry plants, and intermittent trimming of dried buds. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move around the entire shift. Must have a keen eye for quality and ability to scope out disparities while maintaining speed.

JOB FUNCTIONS

· Efficiently trim and de-fan plants

· Responsible for accurately weighing and recording trim weights

· Responsible for maintaining organization and cleanliness while performing trimmings

· Responsible for maintaining quality product and communicating issues to management to ensure smooth flow of operations

· Responsible for hanging and cleaning product, as necessary

· Responsible for cleaning operations areas and equipment, before and after harvest

· Maintain strong awareness of disease protocols

· Complete side tasks and processing projects

· May be assigned other job duties as necessary

· Operate with strong integrity and honesty

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS

· Works in a timely manner and always strives to increase productivity

· Ability to work within a team and independently

· Previous trimming experience preferred but not necessary

· Must be able to pass a background check

· Must not have been convicted of any felony offense

· Experience in a complex and often very fast-paced environment

· Ability to build relationships; enjoys being part of a friendly and supportive team

· Basic weights and measurement skills, ability to operate a scale

· Very helpful to have knowledge of marijuana plant anatomy and strains

· Accuracy and consistency in trimming

· Plants are full of variability so it’s essential to be comfortable with a flexible and intermittent work schedule

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Manual dexterity for manipulating harvested plants and trim tools

· Repeatedly using hands to pluck or cut leaves for long periods of time

· Ability to perform and focus, mentally and physically, on repetitive task for long periods of time

· Frequently required to sit; stand; walk; and stoop

· Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

· Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

· Specific vision requirements include close specificity and ability to discern color and texture

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

· Must be 21 years of age

· High school diploma or GED

REQUIRED LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES

· Valid US Driver’s License

HOURS AND COMPENSATION

· Starting pay is $13.50/hr and commensurate with experience and ability

· Hours are standard day shift, but actual workdays typically vary between 4 and 5 days per week, with additional work in crop care to fill out some weeks

· Initial review after 2 weeks and again at 90 days

**You must be 21+ years old to work on an i-502 farm. Valid US ID is required. Prospective employees may be subject to background check. Reliable transportation is a Must!
