Solstice Washington seeks Processing Manager in Seattle

The Processing Manager is responsible for coordinating with the Management Team to update and manage line-level and lead team to execute a comprehensive manufacturing plan.

This position asks for a consistently positive, friendly, and assertive manner with team members and leadership. An organization in our type of growth mode needs to have exceptional human resources to help support a quick-paced, and sometimes chaotic, start-up environment.

Processing Manager Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

· All aspects of managing and executing the manufacturing plan to meet specific timelines on a daily, weekly, and monthly horizon including, but not limited to:

– Ensure pre-setup of work stations every day before workers arrive to ensure smooth and immediate transition into work tasks

– Manage data collection, tracking and reporting to Management

– Collaborate on labor and task efficiency reports and forward looking labor schedules

– Daily task management and resolution of day to day issues/problems that may arise, pulling in Management or other Directors as needed

· Oversee

o Order Fulfillment,

o Finished Goods Packaging

o Raw Materials

o Lab/Concentrates

o Key point of communication with Sales and Production departments

o Additionally key communication with Inventory Manager to manage raw material plan

· Work with Order Fulfillment to schedule and expedite all outbound/inbound deliveries using efficient and cost-effective route creation

· Ensure accurate and updated sales menu, bulk and finished goods inventory, and data collection to assist Management in review and analysis

· Work with line level employees and Leads to establish and incentivize flywheel of ideas and iteration to improve processes

· Assist the creation of department budget and execute against

· Quarterly and at year-end review of SOPs to ensure accurate, working with Management to make updates as required

· Monitor and manage hard goods inventory and work with Management and Finance department to ensure adequate supply line

· Work with Facilities Manager to ensure any issues (equipment, environment, etc.) are immediately communicated, in addition to working to coordinate projects (priority, timelines, etc.) and business as usual maintenance and waste

· Work with Sales to continuously advance how Operations can assist and improve Sales operations

· Monitor and maintain work areas in accordance with relevant regulations and safety codes, compliance (WSLCB)

· Maintain department aesthetics and functionality

· Team management and development, including, but not limited to:

– Development, task standards and expectations, training plan for new tasks and cross training, issue resolution (performance working with Management, intrapersonal working with Human Resources)

– Accountability against and motivation to meet and exceed performance standards

– Development of Leads and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s)

– Coordinating with Management and Human Resources to facilitate any hiring, termination, employee issues

– Comprehensive onboarding and training of all employees

Qualifications & Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

· 2+ years related experience

· Excellent communication skills, articulate with strong public speaking ability / experience and excellent writing skills

· Strong Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of Google Suite

· Basic knowledge of cannabis and current market conditions in Washington preferred

· Ability to work extended hours and non-traditional schedule as required

· Ability to work in and thrive in a sometimes chaotic startup environment

Physical Requirements / Other:

· Must be able to drive a car, van, truck, and travel via plane or train; lift up to 50 pounds

· Environment will consist of office, indoor garden, warehouse or distribution environment, as well as out-door elements on a frequent basis

· Must be able to stand, walk, sit; use hands or finger to, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear

· Must have close vision, distant vision, ability to adjust focus, peripheral and color vision

Compensation:
