The huge impact of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) could affect cannabis consumers workers and consumers on perhaps a different level of preparedness and education.
First, let’s discuss the lack of cleaning products. The majority of old school stoners use at least 90% isopropyl alcohol to clean our glass paraphernalia from bongs to glass spoons and dab rigs and the sudden demand for it has left us in, shall we say, a bit of a sticky situation.
One solution is using a product such as Simple Green, a non-toxic cleaner for soaking.
Another important item (if you can get your hands on them) are alcohol prep pads (which we should all be using anyway, especially when sharing hits), which is not a very good suggestion at this point.
As cannabis dispensaries currently deal all in cash, be aware of sanitizing your hands both before and after any transactions or consider wearing gloves. Masks are great too, but taking them from medical facilities that need them is ridiculous. Get creative, wear your Uncle’s meth mask or use an old bra or better yet, if you can, stay home. Period. Especially in the PNW, where the city of Seattle is being considered for quarantine.
Please be safe and considerate of others. Wash your hands, don’t touch your mouth or shake hands and stay from people as much as possible (another good reason for home grows?) and just be self-aware, use precautions and don’t panic. Stay home and contact your provider if you have symptoms.
We love our Stoner community in the PNW and don’t want anyone affected and are sending love and healing light to all those who have contracted or passed from this virus.
