If you are a regular reader of this website, then you are well aware of my involvement with the Food is Free movement where I have worked with the project to create a raised bed garden to provide free fruits and vegetables to the Hilltop community in Tacoma, Washington.
The movement is growing by leaps and bounds and this weekend is your chance to get involved in Olympia where they are holding their third build this Saturday.
At Bigalowe Ave NE & Central St NE from 9 .am. to noon, volunteers are needed to take another step toward for food security for the Olympia/Lacey area.
If you would like to donate supplies, in lieu of labor, here is what we still need: LOTS of veggie starts, landscapers felt, and 1in x 6in planks.
Can’t make it out but still want to support the movement through fashion? You can always purchase a t-shirt or hoodie by clicking this link to read additional information.
Come on out and show your support for this fabulous project. Remember, small ripples make big waves and we are riding them towards free food throughout our community, one garden at a time.
