Agate Dreams seeks Assistant Manager in Poulsbo

SUMMARY: 

Assists in the daily operations of the retail store, trains the staff, anticipates the needs of the customers and provides updates to management.

Works with the manager to implement retail store policies, assists in inventory oversight, hiring, scheduling, supervision and staff development.

DUTIES:

Understands and strictly enforces recordkeeping regulations and stays current on regulatory changes.

Analyzes financial reports and provides knowledgeable reports with recommendations to maximize profitability. 

Works with the manager to ensure the retail store is in compliance with all applicable regulations, specifically with security and inventory procedures. 

Actively promotes spectacular customer service by example. 

Assists with payroll processing in compliance with established payroll policies and procedures. 

Assists in all aspects of performance management (i.e., hiring, training, coaching, etc.). 

Responsible for training to include product knowledge, OSHA related training, etc. 

Responsible for providing safety and satisfaction to every customer and employee. 

Provides training and education for staff pertaining to cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates and other products. 

Works with the manager to create budgets and forecast sales based on principles of retail business and formulates competitive pricing policies, while continually monitoring product sales. 

Actively identifies areas for cost savings. 

Maintains availability of merchandise and monitor proper inventory levels. 

In the absence of the manager, is able to report profit and loss responses to include product margins, cost controls and balance sheets. 

Oversees inventory in an effort to provide an adequate supply of quality products. 

Oversees storefront security plan and internal control procedures. 

Responsible for authorizing clearance sales, studying trends and monitoring competitive retailers. 

Ability to learn and use the BioTrack control system.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

Proficient in MS Office to include outlook, Excel, Word, POS and BioTrack POS. 

Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid State of Washington Driver’s License. 

1-3 years supervisory demonstrating a progression in responsibility and education.

Experience and/or education in the cannabis industry to include product knowledge.

Combination of experience and education related to business management, preferred.

High school diploma or GED, required.
