With FREE admission, the South Sound Sustainability Expo is being held this Saturday, March 2nd at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center from 1o a.m. to 3 p.m.
I am excited, as a new resident of Tacoma, to be planning for a new home, garden, all of that good stuff and when I told my adult kids about this event, they each got that certain twinkle in their eye, knowing they are about to purchase their first home in their new, forever city.
This free, family event connects community members with over 100 local businesses and organizations dedicated to creating a healthy and environmentally sustainable South Sound.
New this year is a Fix-It Fair hosted by the Tacoma Tool Library and Zero Waste Washington. Bring your clothing, jewelry, electronics, appliances, and etc in need of mending to get them fixed for FREE!
There’s a full lineup of workshops and activities, including a panel on sustainable business, a green infrastructure tour around Tacoma, a screen-printing station, and a special area of kids activities.
Vendor registration is closed–thank you to everyone who’s signed up!
